Enhancing Leadership Capability

Increase the agility and bench strength of your leadership cohort through implementing bespoke leadership programmes.

The need for leadership development has never been more urgent. Companies of all sorts realise that to survive in today’s volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment, they need leadership skills and organisational capabilities different from those that helped them succeed in the past.

Better understand your leadership shadow

If you’re a leader in your organisation, you are being watched. Everything you do, and say, are cues to your team and influences their ability to have impact, deliver and evolve their approach. You are responsible for the culture that exists within your business. For these reasons, it’s important to better understand how other people experience you because, sometimes, our intentions and behaviours do not match.

Rising to your leadership potential is about knowing yourself deeply and flexing your approach. Sometimes we use our strengths in overdrive so learning to dial them up and
down is key.

Investing in leadership development is more important than ever given the challenges we face operating in our VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) world.

Using the most contemporary research, and her background in Psychology, Rebecca can co-design and deliver engaging leadership programs tailored to your organisation that encourage your leaders to evolve their mindsets and fast-track their development to optimise performance.

Your learning experience

Rebecca helps embed learning by providing leaders with thought provoking reading before each workshop. She also provides participants with post workshop activities they can implement in the workplace to apply their new knowledge. Rebecca asks leaders to team up in pairs, or small groups, for peer coaching to further embed their learnings between sessions – and over time. To get the most from your leadership training, Rebecca recommends a staged approach to learning, spread out over period of months, rather than ‘block learning’ (i.e. in one week) to encourage long-term behavioural change.

Rebecca has the tools and technologies to deliver her leadership programmes either face-to-face, virtually or in a blended learning environment (in person and online) to create an engaging experience. She brings in other experienced facilitators to deliver leadership programmes as required.

Topics covered in our leadership programmes can include:

  • Increasing our emotional intelligence
  • Enhancing our self-awareness
  • Why our mindset matters
  • Capitalising on our strengths to increase wellbeing and performance
  • Creating psychological safety and innovation within teams
  • Coaching to build capability in our team
  • How to provide feedback and have important conversations
  • How to effectively navigate through conflict
  • Building gender equity
  • Protecting our wellbeing by prioritising our self-care practices
  • How to lead and thrive through change

Supporting current or
emerging Millennial
& Gen Z leaders

Millennial / Generation Z leadership development is one of Rebecca’s specialist areas given she is a geriatric Millennial herself! Millennials (Generation Y) are people currently aged late 20s to early 40s and currently comprise of 25-40% of the workforce. Millennials occupy key management and leadership positions, as well as a large number of individual contributor roles, which is why understanding how to best engage, develop and retain them is key. Generation Z’s are in their early to mid 20s and now outnumber Baby Boomers in the workplace.

Generally speaking, Millennials and Gen Z’s have some different traits and development needs to their Generation X and Baby Boomer counterparts. They are hungrier to learn, keen to undertake challenging work, are ambitious, innovative and want to fast forward their career. They put their development first and have the confidence to leave an organisation if they are not happy in a role. Tenure data shows that Millennials / Gen Z’s make the decision to move on from a job more quickly than other generations. Having a life outside of work is very important to them.

Rebecca co-designs the leadership programme focus areas with the learners themselves to help emerging and current leaders realise their strengths, and future potential, so they are engaged to add even more value at work. She delivers a specialised group coaching programme for this cohort of leaders to help increase their self-awareness to enable them to better understand their impact on others and enhance their influencing ability.
